Ferguson vs Gaethje Betting Preview
Fighter Name | Odds at BetOnline.ag |
Tony Ferguson | -171 |
Justin Gaethje | +146 |
The headliner of the UFC 249 is the fight for the interim lightweight title. It’s fought between two MMA legends, Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. Both fighters have been fighting under Dana White’s promotion for years, but the fact is that Ferguson has been more successful.
In fact, Tony Ferguson has been more successful than most other MMA fighters, with 12 consecutive wins in the UFC. He was supposed to have a title fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, but the fight got canceled for the fifth time.
Our pick: Tony Ferguson
Cejudo vs Cruz Betting Preview
Fighter Name | Odds at BetOnline.ag |
Henry Cejudo | -210 |
Dominick Cruz | +180 |
Sportsbooks believe the current UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo will keep the belt in his possession. However, Dominick Cruz definitely seems like someone who can cause an upset.
The two-time champ is coming into the Octagon after a years’ long hiatus. His previous fight was back in December 2016 when he lost to Cody Garbrandt by decision.
A series of injures kept the Dominator away from the UFC, but he’s now back and he’s hungry for success.
Our pick: Dominic Cruz
Ngannou vs Rozenstruik Betting Preview
Fighter Name | Odds at BetOnline.ag |
Francis Ngannou | -300 |
Jairzinho Rozenstruik | +250 |
Ngannou is currently second in UFC Heavyweight ranking and is a big favorite against Rozenstruik. Both fighters are celebrated for their punching power, so this fight might end before the final bell.
Rozenstruik currently holds the record for the second-fastest knockout in the division. Still, in this fight, he’s the one who’s likely to get KO-ed.
Our pick: Francis Ngannou
Stephens vs Kattar Betting Preview
Fighter Name | Odds at BetOnline.ag |
Jeremy Stephens | +195 |
Calvin Kattar | -230 |
This is probably going to be a very close fight. Stephens has been a bit longer in the game that his opponent. However, his record is not as good as Kattar’s.
Judging by the betting odds, sportsbooks believe Kattar is going to win. That seems like a reasonable guess, although the fight is likely to be decided by points.
Our pick: Calvin Kattar
Hardy vs De Castro Betting Preview
Fighter Name | Odds at BetOnline.ag |
Greg Hardy | -193 |
Yorgan de Castro | +168 |
Greg Hardy is coming to this fight as a favorite, however, Yorgan de Castro is determined to prove everyone wrong. This is going to be only his second UFC fight, which explains why he’s the underdog.
De Castro’s UFC debut saw him knock-out Justin Tafa at UFC 243. Such an impressive performance definitely suggests that we could see more from him.
Our pick: Yorgan de Castro
UFC 249 Betting Preview – Preliminary Card
UFC 249 will see Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone returning to the Octagon after being KO-ed by Connor McGregor in just 40 seconds back in January. His opponent this time is Anthony Pettis. Once again, Cowboy is the underdog at +122.
The Preliminary Card also features a heavyweight clash of two giants Aleksei Oleinik and Fabricio Werdum, in which the Brazilian fighter is dubbed a huge favorite by bookies. The odds on Werdum are as short as -315 at the moment.
The other two fights on the Preliminary Card are a women’s strawweight clash between Carla Esparza and Michelle Waterson and a middleweight fight between Uriah Hall and Ronaldo Souza.
In addition, there are also three fights in the Early Preliminary Card, namely Vicente Luque vs Niko Price, Bryce Mitchell vs Charles Rosa, and Ryan Spann vs Sam Alvey.
