Top Weekend Betting Picks (May 10-11)

This is a great weekend for betting, especially if you’re into soccer as there are plenty of exciting duels, some of which are championship-deciding matches. The best thing, however, is that some of the best we dug out come with excellent odds, which is surprising given that they’re almost certain to win. We’ll now present you with a couple of those bets.
Southampton vs. Manchester City Pick: Manchester City Over 1.5
In their last game, the Cityzens scored just one goal – against Wolves at home. That’s somewhat embarrassing given that they’re the second-highest scoring team in England.
Our prediction is that they’ll do better this time around. First of all, they need to win this game without stress. They need points to challenge for the No. 2 spot in the EPL standings.
Another reason why we think is that they’ll score more than one goal is that they’re playing against Southampton, the team with the worst defense in the league – 82 goals conceded.
Finally, Saturday’s game will see the return on Erling Haaland after more than a month. He might not start, but we think coach Pep Guardiola will put him in action for at least 10-15 minutes, which is enough for Man City’s best player to get on the scoresheet.
Benfica vs. Sporting CP Pick: BTS
This is a battle for the title. Sporting CP are at the top of the table with 78 points, the same as Benfica, but they have an advantage for the fact that they defeated Benfica 1:0 in their first duel of the season.
What this means is that in order to get to the top, Benfica need to go for a win. And to win, they need to score. Luckily, that’s something they’re great at – they’ve scored 85 goals so far.
The bad news is that Sporting CP are great as well. These guys have scored 82 goals this season.
Minnesota United vs. Inter Miami Pick: Lionel Messi to Score Anytime
Lionel Messi is the GOAT of soccer, but he’s approaching the twilight of his career. However, he’s still good enough to dominate in the MLS. In fact, he’s been Inter Miami’s best player this season, with four goals and two assists in seven games.
The last of those goals happened in Inter Miami’s previous game, in which they destroyed the New York Red Bulls 4:1. In the next game, they might not score as many goals as they’ll be without Luis Suarez, but this fact is another reason why Messi needs to step up.
Nottingham vs. Leicester Pick: Nottingham
Nottingham need a win to stay in the competition for a top 4 spot and a ticket to the Champions League. They’re not in great form, with just one win in the last five Premier League games.
In their most recent game, they drew 1:1 with Crystal Palace on the road. But this time, they have a much easier task on their hands. They’re playing on home turf against already relegated Leicester.
Napoli vs. Genoa Pick: Napoli
Napoli have a great chance to make a big leap toward the Serie A title with a win over Genoa on Sunday. They already have a 3-point lead over Inter Milan and given that three rounds are left, this round could be crucial.
Inter Milan have a better score difference, so if the two end on level points, the boys from Northern Italy will win the title. This is why winning every single game by the end of the season is a must for Napoli.
Apart from having the motivation, they also have the manpower to beat Genoa (who don’t care much about the remainder od the season). One final reason why we think they’ll win on Sunday is that the game is played on their turf.
Barcelona vs. Real Madrid Pick: BTS
Both teams have been scoring a lot of goals this season. Plus, this El Clasico is of huge importance for both teams. Real Madrid need a win to get to one point behind Barca and possibly leapfrog them before the end of the season – as they have an easier schedule in the remainder.
The good news for Barca is that this team’s best striker Robert Lewandowski is expected to feature from the very start. That said, we do expect Barca to score as well. The result is that BTS is almost certain to happen.
