Same as the last year, the Kansas City Chiefs are playing in the Super Bowl. In 2020, they won it. Are they going to do it once again? If you want to find out what the betting experts from the FatCatBet think about it, make sure to read our Super Bowl LV preview. However, if you’re looking for Patrick Mahomes prop bets, you better stay put.

We’re now going to examine some of the most popular NFL prop bets focused on the Chiefs quarterback. Another thing we’re going to do is provide you with some Patrick Mahomes prop bet suggestions. So, let’s start!

Patrick Mahomes Passing TDs in Super Bowl LV: 3+, 4+, 5+?

First things first – passing touchdowns. Scoring touchdowns is the point of the game and the job of the quarterback is to create touchdown passes. So, how many of those will Mahomes make in Super Bowl LV?

For these Patrick Mahomes prop bets, odds go like this: on 3+ passing TDs, the odds are currently -143. On 4+ TDs, it’s +189, while for 5+ passing TDs for Mahomes, the odds are set to +543.

Knowing that this guy’s a touchdown passing master, it’s not crazy to think we’ll see him making a couple of those. In the 2020 NFL season, we saw him passing for a total of 38 touchdowns in 156 games. That’s the second-highest number of passing TDs in his career – Mahomes’ record is 50 passing TDs in 2018.

In this season, Mahomes made at least one touchdown pass in every single game he played. The most touchdown passes he created was in November, when the Chiefs beat the New York Jets.

This time, his team is playing against a much better team than the Jets, so Mahomes probably isn’t going to be breaking his record. That said, our Patrick Mahomes Passing TDs prop bet suggestion is not to bet on 5+ TDs.

But, can he make 4 or more? Probably not. The thing is that he did it only on two occasions this season. Apart from the game with the Jets, we also saw him passing for 4 or more TDs against the Carolina Panthers. That game too was played in November.

Since then, Mahomes has been making 2-3 touchdown passes per game. This includes the games in the postseason, as well. Against the Cleveland Browns, he made one TD pass before being subbed off due to an injury.

He returned for the AFC Final and did great – Mahomes made three touchdown passes against the Buffalo Bills.

We think he might do the same in the Super Bowl game as well.

Patrick Mahomes Pass Completions

Sure, Mahomes is a fantastic passer. However, the question is would he be as brilliant if he didn’t have some fantastic offense players to pass the ball to? Probably not.

But, with Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill there, Mahomes can have peace of mind knowing that most of his passes will probably meet the safe hands of those two.

For this reason, Patrick Mahomes Pass Completions 27+ seems like a more than a reasonable prop bet. Sure, the odds aren’t attractive (-244) but that means that oddsmakers share our opinion.

Patrick Mahomes Interception: Yes/No?

This season, only six of Patrick Mahomes’ passes got intercepted. In three games, he had one interception, while the game against the Miami Dolphins saw him getting three intercepted passes.

In 2021, he’s still without a single interception. Both the Browns and the Bills failed to intercept his passes. However, the fact is that those two teams are just not as good in the defense as the Bucs.

That said, one of Mahomes’ passes might get intercepted. In the Super Bowl LIV, two of his passes were intercepted, so you shouldn’t be surprised if something similar happens this time as well.

Most Pass Completions: Patrick Mahomes (KC) vs Tom Brady (TB)

Here’s another Patrick Mahomes prop bet that depends not only on the quarterback but on his teammates as well. The thing is that both Mahomes and Brady have fantastic options when it comes to the ball passing, so it’s pretty much 50-50.

Or is it? A team isn’t just its offense, but the defense as well. If the Chiefs defense does its job well, they’re going to stop Brady from making too many pass completions. In turn, it’s going to make Mahomes win this bet.

Most Passing Yards: Patrick Mahomes (KC) vs Tom Brady (TB)

Once again, the two QB legends need to rely on their teammates – both on those from the offense and those from the defense.

Judging by how Kansas City’s defense outplayed the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Final, we need to call caution to Brady bettors. He’s going to have a very tough job on Super Bowl Sunday, meaning that Mahomes will probably win this bet as well.

Super Bowl MVP

The Super Bowl MVP award is something quarterbacks win most of the time. Actually, QBs won this award 30 times in history. Running backs and wide receivers did it 14 times (seven times each position), linebackers did it four times, while defensive ends and safeties two times each position.

Finally, in the history of the Super Bowl MVP award, we only saw one cornerback, one defensive tackle, and one kick returner winning it.

For this, it’s not surprising that the two main favorites are Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. What we think who will win – the one QB whose team wins the Super Bowl LV.

If you think the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win it, then you better back Patrick Mahomes to win his second Super Bowl MVP award.
