Raiders vs Broncos NFL Week 6 Odds, Time, and Prediction
- Rick Bisaccia to make his debut as the Raiders head coach
- Both teams have lost their previous two games
- The Broncos are seen as major favorites in this game
This is going to be the first game with Rich Bisaccia as the interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. As you probably know, their former HC Jon Gruden resigned last week.
Gruden led the Raiders to a 3-2 record, with the two defeats happening in the past two weeks. That said, it’s certain that things aren’t great in the Vegas locker room. Can the Denver Broncos take advantage of the situation?
Oddsmakers think they might. Even though the Broncos too have lost their previous two games, they’re entering Week 6 as a strong favorite to beat the Raiders.

Problems Keep Pilling on for the Raiders
Just a day after the Raiders lost to the Bears in Week 5, The New York Times uncovered the content of racist emails sent by Jon Gruden. As a result, he decided to step down as the head coach for the Raiders.
It happened on Monday, while on Thursday evening, the team announced the appointment of Rich Bisaccia as the interim coach. Previously, he served as the assistant coach for Gruden, but he’s never held such an important position. His debut as the Las Vegas head coach will be in the game against the Broncos.
The head coach trouble isn’t their only problem. The Raiders also seem to be struggling on the field. We saw two very unimpressive performances from them in the last two weeks.
First, in Week 4, the Chargers put an end to their winning streak by beating them 28-14 in Los Angeles. In Week 5, they returned back to Nevada, where they were strong favorites against the Bears. However, the Chicago team beat them 20-9.
The fact that they scored just 9 points against the Bears needs to worry them ahead of their Week 6 game. It’s because this time, they’re taking on an even better defense. In fact, the Broncos defense is the second-best in the AFC at the moment.
All Eyes on Denver’s Defense
With 20.4 points per game on average, Denver’s offense isn’t too impressive. However, they don’t need to be great because they got the Broncos’ defense to cover up for them.
With just 76 points conceded in five games, Denver has one of the best defensive teams in the league. The highest number of points they’ve conceded in a game in 2021 is 27. It happened last weekend when they lost to the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
This time, their defense is expected to do much better. Not only are they facing a team in big problems, but they’re also playing at home. Last season, they were horrible in Denver, but the reason is that there were no fans (or a limited number) in the stands due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, a season earlier, they went 5-3 at Mile High. This season, they’re currently 1-1 at home, but we can see them improving that record this weekend.
Pick: Denver Broncos to win and cover the spread; under will probably hit
