Nothing is yet official, but it appears that the Aaron Rodgers trade saga could come to an end. The oddsmakers were right, giving the shortest odds on the QB staying home in 2021.

Rumor has it that the last season’s MVP is okay with staying at Green Bay for another season. However, the QB has some conditions for the team he’s been with since 2005.

Green Bay’s Concessions for Aaron Rodgers

If his plan works out, Rodgers would be able to exit Lambeau Field in 2022 as a free agent, practically leaving the Packers emptyhanded.

Still, things aren’t as dark from the Packers’ perspective as they might seem at the first look. By agreeing to Aaron Rodgers’ exit strategy, they’d get the last season’s MVP to lead them in the upcoming season, which would probably settle things down in the locker room.

Aaron Rodgers Wants Randall Cobb Back at Lambeau Field

Aaron Rodgers apparently wants Green Bay to bring back Randall Cobb. The 31-year-old played for the Packers until 2018 before leaving to Texas. First, he played for the Cowboys, then he moved to Houston to play for the Texans.

All this may sound like Rodgers is asking too much. This goes especially knowing that if accepted, his requests would enable him to leave the team next year as a free agent, thus preventing the Packers from making any money off his trade.

From the Packers’ point of view, the biggest silver lining is the fact that they’d have at least a year to figure out what to do next. Furthermore, Rodgers staying for another season would stop the team from falling apart. It’s reported that there’s plenty of dissatisfaction in the Green Bay locker room, but things would probably cool off if Rodgers remained in the team.

In fact, as soon as the news about Rodgers coming to the training camp surfaced, news started popping up about Davante Adams giving the Packers another chance.
