Orlando City vs Minnesota United Preview (MLS Is Back)
Orlando City vs Minnesota United is one of the semi-finals of the MLS Is Back tournament. The other game will see Philadelphia Union and Portland Timbers going toe-to-toe.
Judging by the fact that Orlando City and Minnesota United have reached the top four of the tournament, you would think that both teams have been playing fantastic. However, the fact is that they’re in the semifinal mostly because major favorites failed to perform.
Road to the Semis
In the quarter-final, Orlando City knocked-out Los Angeles FC, which is one of the heavyweights in the world of soccer in North America. Before that, the team from Florida also beat Montreal Impact, another pretty strong MLS team.
Minnesota United had a much easier job. They hammered San Jose Earthquakes in the quarter-final. Before that, they played against low-seeded sides like Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake.
Despite having a much easier task than Orlando City, Minnesota has not been too impressive.
Orlando City vs Minnesota United Betting Prediction
The quality is on the side of the team from Florida. They seem stronger at the back, plus they have the experienced Nani in the final third. Unless something goes terribly wrong, we should see Orlando City in the final.
The match will probably see not too many goals, though. The correct score that seems most likely to happen is 1-0 for Orlando City.
