Both fighters are coming off big wins at Cage Warriors 114, which took place in September. Luke Shanks beat Samir Faiddine by decision to grab the championship belt. Although the judges were the ones to declare the winner, it was obvious that Shanks was going to win it. He dominated that fight from the very beginning.
His next opponent, Jake Hadley, also did very well at Cage Warriors 114, winning against Shajidul Haque for his sixth win in the career.
Reigning Flyweight Champ Planning to Retain His Title
With a record of 7 wins and one defeat, Luke Shanks is rightly considered one of the best fighters in this promotion.
Whether he’s ready to move on to the UFC remains a big question. Sure, he is the champion of CW Flyweight Division, but his wins haven’t been too impressive. In fact, three out of his previous fights went the distance.
Still, to be fair to the guy, he did do very well in the fight against Samir Faiddine, which he absolutely dominated before winning by points.
What’s got to worry him is that he’s taking on a rising star in the world of MMA, whose recent performances have gotten him into the UFC conversation.
Undefeated UFC Prospect Plans to Stay Undefeated
Jake Hadley is on the road to getting a contract from the UFC. Although there’s no official confirmation, the undefeated flyweight is likely to go to America if he becomes the CW champion.
And he’s more than confident that he’s going to grab the title!
With this win, I believe I will be thought of as the greatest flyweight ever from Europe!
Jake Hadley on his MMA future.
If he wins the Luke Shanks vs Jake Hadley, he’s going to have two world titles in his possession. The first one is the EFC title, which he won in April 2019.
The title fight put him on the Cage Warriors radar, as before winning the EFC championship, Hadley wasn’t very well known. In fact, he went to Africa to take on a big favorite Nkazimulo Zulu, who was expected to beat the newcomer without any problems.
But, Hadley won. He did it after five rounds in the ring with the former champ. This remains his most impressive fight to this day.
Before the fight in Africa, Hadley fought only three fights, each of which he won comfortably in the first round.
After winning the EFC title, his next stop was Bellator where he beat Blaine O’Driscoll by submission in Round 3. From there, he went to Cage Warriors, where he took on Shaj Haque. He won that fight by KO in Round 1.
Luke Shanks vs Jake Hadley Betting Prediction
Both fighters have been killing it lately, although Hadley’s recent wins were a little bit more impressive. Still, Luke Shanks did not become the champion by accident. He’s a fantastic fighter who knows how to fight big bouts.
Almost nothing separates these two, which is why we should see a very close fight. There probably isn’t going to be a winner until very late in the fight. Or, even more likely, the winner is going to be decided by points.
If the Method of Victory is your betting choice, you should know that it’s very likely that the winner is going to be decided by points.
