They did it by finishing in second place in the regular season, just behind Cavalry and above Forge. The two rivals had the same number of points, but HFX Wanderers ended up higher due to a better score difference.

Then, in the CPL Championship Group, HFX Wanderers finished second once again, but this time, below Forge.

The crucial players of Halifax are going to be fresh as a daisy in the Saturday’s game. The same doesn’t go for Forge FC.
