Weird – That’s the word best describes the form of the Chicago Blackhawks this season. Sometimes, they play well; sometimes they’re horrible. On the bright side, their performances are easy to predict – and the bettors love it!

When they play against strong teams they lose. When they’re faced with a weaker opposition, they tend to grab at least a point. Last week, we saw them losing two sets of two games to the two best teams from the central division, namely the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

However, just before those two games, they won against Dallas Stars, who, at the time, where second from the bottom. Unfortunately for Chicago fans, they’re now squaring off with a team that’s placed above them in the standings.

The Carolina Hurricanes are one of the teams that could ruin the plans of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers and tell and the top spot in the central division. Of course, for that to happen they need to win is much point as possible. For that reason, the Hurricanes are travelling to Chicago with two points on their minds.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Chicago Blackhawks Prediction

We think the Hurricanes are a better team than the Blackhawks. However, in the Carolina Hurricanes vs Chicago Blackhawks game on Tuesday evening, it’s Chicago that has some major advantages. First of all, the game’s played at United Center, the home of the Blackhawks.

Although they haven’t been too great in home games, Chicago’s advantage comes from the fact that the Hurricanes have been pretty bad on the road. Another advantage for Chicago is that they’re practically without injuries.

The same isn’t the case with the Hurricanes, who are still without their first-choice goalie Petr Mrazek, who’s out with a finger injury. On top of that, forwards Vincent Trocheck and Teuvo Teravainen are still not 100% fit.

For all these reasons, we expect to see a real battle on the ice. Anything can happen in a game like this, but we do believe we’re going to see overtime. The big question is who’s going to win two points? If we had to pick one, we’d go with the Hurricanes.
